It is hard at Thanksgiving and Xmas as you never had one with us but oh baby we wish you could have just one would have been good. I think of you so often and how I use to put you to sleep, how your mommy and daddy took you home one night and come back next am very early, you had kept them up all night but went to sleep as soon as I took you and started to pat your little bottom. Hi Pumpkin, thought I would drop in and say I sure like the picture they put in now better than the old one. Cause you are an angel and my angel. I talk with a man from church today and seems his sister had a child with SMA about 8 yrs. ago, but died one year later. He did not know it was called SMA and wanted me to explain it to him as his sister is now going to have another baby. He said the dr. told her she had a 25% chance of having another SMA baby. So I gave the man my e-mail address in hopes that she would talk with me, and if she has another SMA baby I can tell her where to go for help and support. Hello sweetheart, how is my Pumpkin doing, playing and getting into things? I am still trying to put my story together, but the words are not coming to me like they did when I did the e-mails. Hi Pumpkin, It's me again, hope you have been having a lot of fun with the other angels. I have just got finished with the mail ins and I got several letters back, but we need these people to learn about life as you lived it. I know you were in a lot pain, but you don't hurt now. I have been trying to help some of our SMA kids, like yourself, but you know most people just don't see my posting or because they don't know me, won't respond. I have one young lady who lives in Alabama that wants help, so I am trying to get it for her. There are a few of the kids maybe 10 is all I have reported to me and I know there is more out there. But then maybe their parents have the money to foot all the bills. I wish they would trust me and give me information needed to fight the System to get what the other kids need so bad. Just a few I am afraid will not make a difference in trying to get help for the others.

Well, Pumpkin, there are 1,000's of kids using this service. There are a lot of other kids who should be on this service for the help they need. I have found 20 kids so far and will hope to get more to come on and tell me who they are. But it is a services for those who need equipment and etc. to help them. There is no shame in using the Medicaid CMS because the things that these kids need is so high, they have to have someone to help. You know Pumpkin, I was on the Welfare System for training and getting my GED, after that I went to work and got off the Welfare. I am not ashamed to tell people that, cause without I could not have kept my kids, so I am proud to say I used it as it was meant to be used. Well, Pumpkin, here it is Sunday, just before a holiday, and I sit here wondering what it would have been like to have you running, playing, and oh so happy. You were the apple of my eye, the star of my world. And you know honey, people don't seem to care about all of you angels who died of SMA, it is sad that this world will do and give to some of the big orignations but for one that is almost on the edge of finding a cure they look the other way, as if they think SMA is going to rub off on them. I wonder what would they have said had it happened to one of the children. It seems only the poor people get the hardships and the rich people buy their way out of things. I guess I am a little mad tonight because no one will listen to any of us or try to help in any way so we can have a beautiful little girl like you to laugh, play, see your eyes light up at a Xmas tree lighting. These are the little things we all would like to have for you, but no we are being deined even the small things. Have you and the other kids been playing together, loving each other, and wanting so bad to have you all know that I loved you all so very much. I will join you one day, and then we can sit down and I can tell you stories of the things that went on after you left us. How we each in our own way griefed that you would not smile on us again. Hi Pumpkin, well I am about to launch a book with all the stories of the babies and the parents for all they went through. I will be writing about you also, and what you meant to all of us. So you put in a good word for us all as it is to let the people know how we all feel at the news the doctor tells us "take you child home and love it for what time you will have it"

Hi Pumpkin, what have you been doing. I know it has been longer than I have not talk to you, but I have been busy putting together all the kids stories, some are there with you and others will be joining you. So when they get there, you show them around and tell them that your Nany is doing her best to tell the world about the real SMA, not the way that the drs. or most of them are saying. Most mothers don't get the truth, just it's OK and they will grow out of it. Some are even labeled with MD, while the parents wonder why their child is not doing what the rest are doing. Your Mommy is going to graduate in August and she will be a real RN. Well, Pumpkin, I know I said I would try and be here more often, however, I am always getting new stories for OUR BOOK, that it keeps me busy. I don't mean to be so long between notes to you, but you know I love you and I feel you would understand that I am praying that this book will sell and get more money for research for SMA. Mostly, our dear friend Nicki shows all of the pictures of SMA babies in her closing song. Recently you were on a big banner at a fund raiser and Nicki and Laura was there and they took a picture of yours and send it to me. I hope one day to be able to go to one of those fund raisers and tell others about you. You are the best thing God ever gave me. I miss you so very much even tho I was only with you such a short time. But your Grandma Fishe always kept me up on what you were doing. I never got to see or hear the Vido tapes of you, like everyone else did, but I guess I always look back and see you laughing at thinks you and I did. I gave you your first taste of TCBY and you loved it. The there was the lollypop that we gave you and your Mom put it in some stuff that sizzled when she put it back in you mouth. But you where such a good baby that you really liked it. I never had a picture with my holding you, but I have all these good memories how you would lay beside me and we would talk baby talk to each other. What a joy it was for me to have you all to myself then. I would like to find out more on your SMA and maybe put out a free info pamphlet to put in the doctors offices.
