The day after this picture was taken, Autumn was diagnosed with SMA.

This was a very rough time for us.  On March 1, 2006, Autumn was diagnosed with Intermediate Spinal Muscular Atrophy.  We were absolutely devastated, as at the time we had never heard of this disease, and we unsure of the implications for Autumn and for our family.
