I just happened upon this website today and it touched me in the deepest part of my heart... What you are doing for these beautiful children is wonderful beyond words. Looking at these pictures all of the children posted on here brought tears to my eyes. I have one daughter and we are blessed that she was born w/out any disease and after looking at this site, I will never take her and our little moments together for granted. I also want to want to offer some word of encouragement to those parents of these special, special children, only, I don't know what to say - I could never begin to understand the steps you take daily and especially those of you who have children who left us behind; I can only say that my prayers are for each and every one of you, both children and parents alike. Be encouraged.... And thank-you so much for the work that you guys are doing out there to bring joy to these families, and to you, parents, you have also helped me to re-prioritize my life and what's really important with just a glance into your lives. My prayers are with you - may God Bless you! Sincerely, Heather

I just wanted to pop on to thank everyone who continues to make this legacy possible. I know my son smiles down from heaven each time one of the quilts is received. If it weren't for Linda and all the wonderful people who donate their time and funds to keep this alive there would be no more Cole's Quilts. I received my Cole's Quilt in honor of my precious angels Eric and Jessica this past Wed, the 29th of March. I'm still speechless actually as I cannot find the proper words to express my gratitude. The beauty of the quilt is breathtaking and each square is extremely meaningful. The work, detail, love and hugs that went into the making of their quilt is exquisite. The quilt means the world to me, thank you to everyone who helped make this very special quilt a reality for me, my babies and my family. God Bless, Karen

My daughter Sarah just received her Coles quilt yesterday. I know that many of you are involved in helping to make all those quilts. I just wanted to say from a parents perspective that you all are very caring people to do what you do. After Sarah got her quilt she carried it around everywhere we went so she could show everyone her quilt. She feel asleep under it and had one of the best nights sleep she has had in a long time. I know that is because she was being watch over by Cole and all the wonderful people that put so much into making her quilt. There is no way to thank you enough for what you have done for Sarah and out whole family. love Connie

Linda, The excitement in our household when Hayden's quilt arrived was phenomenal. We HAD to open it up right away. We are seriously awestruck by the beauty of this quilt. The red lining is stunning and perfect for Hayden. Red and blue being his favourite colours (he has a fire engine red wheelchair). He was so proud of his quilt. We had so much fun examining every square and learning where each had come from. So much love emanates from this quilt, there is no question. The quilt has enveloped us all with love. We send our heartfelt gratitude to Linda Zuroff and her legions of dedicated stitchers who pour so much into their beautiful work. Thank you for all that you do for Cole's Quilts. The stitches that came from your hands, from your hearts will be forever cherished. What a beautiful reminder that there are so many caring, loving people out there doing such amazing things for our children. Just wanted to let everyone know that Pottery Barn Kids sells quilt clips (for hanging your quilt on the wall) for $29 for a set of 3. They're really cute (we got the star ones). Mark was able to hang them in less than 10 minutes. Just wanted to put that out there because I know we looked for a while to find the perfect way to display our quilt, so we would imagine others are looking too! I'll be happy to send a picture if someone wants to see.

I sit here in tears as I type this...today we received Lily's quilt and I have no words to express how beautiful this labor of love is. I am so touched at that amount of love and care that went into this quilt and to ALL who worked on this I am deeply touched and honored. It is beautiful, more beautiful than I can even describe...it has Lily's personality along with a touch (in the corner) of my son Nathan who didn't get to spend much time on this earth with his special scripture on it. I am so deeply touched and just cannot gather my words right now but wanted to write RIGHT THIS SECOND on how much this means to me. Thank you, thank you so much.....I have been touched by Cole and the love that you all have for him is amazing. Kristen is one of my best friends and her son has become part of my heart as well.... When I look at this quilt I will not only see Lily and Nathan but I will also see Cole as well...thank you again from the bottom of my heart. Amy

Hi, everyone. I want to share the poem that was written a year ago today. Today mark's the first anniversary of my Christina's Angel Day. Christina Nicole Slack Scott and Doddie lost their dear sweet baby But it's not that she can't be found-- Right now she's in Heaven rejoicing With the others who are gathered around Christina's life here on earth was painful And we can't quite understand-- But we do know that GOD IS FAITHFUL And all of this was part of His plan In Heaven her frail little body Has now been made whole She's running, skipping and laughing Because Jesus puts joy in her soul If you know Christ then one day you'll see her-- You can meet her on that bright shore She'll greet you with hugs and kisses Where death can have victory no more!

The quilt is a beautiful piece of art work. Thank you so much each and everyone of the stitchers who stitched for my precious angel. I won't be putting it in a box somewhere. My heart is telling me to place it out for all to see. It wasn't meant to be put in box or hung in a room for only me to see and enjoy. It is meant for all to enjoy who come to my home. It shows how much this angel touch many lives. It arrived in time to remind me of the true meaning of Christmas. It is a time for remembering Jesus was born, gave his life for us, and rose again. Also, a time for remembering your loved ones both earth bound and heaven bound.

There are tears in my eyes as I write this. Today I received the most special gift - Marshall's quilt. How appropriate for it to arrive today. You see, today (2 years ago) was the day that our boy began his week-long ascent to heaven. Today was the day his little body started to fail him and we knew he did not have a lot of time left on this earth. Today began a week-long bout of uncertainty, helplessness, and fear - for we knew our only child would soon be gone from our arms and permanently etched in our minds and hearts. Today (this entire week, really) always brings back all of those feelings - plus those of missing someone way beyond words. This is always a difficult week for us. But today, everything we feel is also accompanied by feelings of thanks, appreciation, and sheer amazement at the talent and generosity of a few friends and many strangers. There are no words to thank those who have contributed to Cole's Quilts. Linda Zuroff, you are an amazing person for putting this project together and being the very thing that keeps it running for all of our special kids. I want to thank you and all of our special stitchers for everything. And Cole Webb . . . the biggest inspiration. We love you and miss you, Baby Cole.

Thank you so much Cole's Quilts. I can always get a lift by looking at the children's pictures, the squares and the pictures of the finished squares. I can hardly wait until Katelyn's quilt is finished and we get to see it. I have now nearly finished my second square and I only started doing them on August 23. This is not only great for the kids and families but also for the stitchers. I am not sure about the others but cross stitch is relaxing to me until I have to frame it or do something with it. Doing squares for Cole's Quilts eliminates the hardest part. Therefore it is a win-win situation for all parties involved. So to you Linda who started this, to Cole for his wonderful inspiration and to all the stitchers, I say HAPPY 1ST BIRTHDAY.

You have no idea how precious these squares are to us. My boys get so excited to check to see if there is a new square.. My husband called me from work to tell me Holly Ann had a square. It is 2 little girls with crooked halos. I had a dream shortly after Julia was diagnosed........ with Holly Ann & Julia "walking" in long gowns whispering secrets to each other and they were best freinds.. They were walking away from me in the dream. It was so real, so this square means so very much to me. and the crooked halo, i could see Holly Ann in heaven with her halo hanging off to the side it also symbolizes for me the imperfection of her little body because if sma. but i now understand that there is nothing imperfect about them. And Julia's tweety bird is perfect for her. it suits her perfect. I am telling you her eyes remind me of tweety bird. we send lots of hugs to these ladies who are stitching an everlasting gift for us.. God bless you all and esp. Cole cutie boy... Lisa

All of the squares are precious but the ones on the quilt being made in memory of my daughter are extremely precious to me and I just had to let you know how many people truly appreciate all that you do. Mia's one year angel day is coming up and I can't believe a year has passed already, it's been a blur. It's very special and heartwarming to see her squares, each one triggering a precious memory of her. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.. Mia's mommy

Ilove all the quilts posted so far. I keep checking every so many days to see what squares have been done for Christina's quilt. I love them so far. I know she would have enjoyed the quilt if she was here. She was like her mother. I still have the quilt my mother made me when I was a toddler. It is of course showing my age, its very thin and holy. It was a full size quilt but it went everywhere I did which is why it is very worn. I will treasure Christina's quilt when it is finished. Thanks you guys for all your hard work and dedication to making a "sick" child's day.

I just wanted to add my comments of Thanks here on this guestbook. As a parent of a child who no longer lives and breathes on this earth, you all have no idea how special the squares are to us. I cried when I saw the first 2 and I will probably do the same each time I see a new one. Kristin, who knows us quite well, went beyond our requests and stitched something very special to us - a pattern of shoes. She knows that Marshall's shoes hang from my rear view mirror in my Jeep and they contain some special mementos that belonged to other angels (little rocks, pins, pictures, cards, etc.) I feel that those shoes point me in the right direction every day of my life. They remind me to keep going - for Marshall; even when I feel as though I no longer can. So thank you Kris for adding that special touch to Marshall's quilt! We are also in love with the Mickey Mouse square. Mickey is quite special to us. When Marshall was hospitalized - the day we learned of SMA, he was given a Mickey Mouse balloon from my best friend Monica. He would pull at it and talk to it and sing at it. How my heart aches to see and hear him interact with his beloved Mickey Mouse again! To see Mickey as a part of Marshall's quilt is something very special for us. There is no substitute in our lives for Mickey Mouse! We thank each and every one of you for donating your time, supplies, and talents to make these quilts a special reality for our wonderful children (and their families.) We are truly grateful that you all can be a part of our lives in this very special way. Thank you again, from the bottom of our hearts! With love and peace, Laurie & Mark Potter ^i^

It is my honor and privilege to be the first entry in Cole's Quilts Guest book. First, I would like to thank Linda for making this possible. You are truly an inspiration to all that is good out there in the world. You have a special place in our family as and honorary "aunt Linny" and with out you, Cole's quilts would never have come to be. Also, thank you to all the stitchers who have contributed time, love and blocks to our kids. It means so much to us, more than you even know. Thank you to Laura who receives the influx of pictures of the blocks as they arrive and has handled all the website parts of Cole's quilts. Without you this wouldn't be possible. SMA is a terrible terrible thing, but this project has brought in love, support and awareness from ALL OVER THE WORLD. Thank you all for making this so special! Kristin and Mr. Cole
