This is one of the many beautiful faces of the terrible disease, Spinal Muscular Atrophy.  Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) is a genetic neuromuscular disease that can quickly rob our children of their muscular strength, leading to paralysis and death!

Here are some SMA Facts:

* SMA is the #1 genetic killer of children under the age of 2 years.
* One in every 6,000 children are born affected by SMA
* Statistically, SMA happens twice as often as ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease)
* THERE IS NO CURE.
