Therapies and Soothing/Fun Things

For therapies, we choose to do Early Intervention (any parent can put in a referral for this) which included a physical therapy piece; swim therapy; and music therapy…he loved all of these!!!

He watched and played with his IPAD that our wonderful friends gave to him as a gift…it truly was an amazing gift!

He visited with a lot of friends and family and skyped with ones that couldn’t visit…

He played on activity mat with lowered pet toys…

He loved mirrors!

He LOVED his balloon…this balloon was perfect from him because he could easily hold it and some days he would hold it for hours…

Every evening we did strolls in the house in his bassinet stroller with the back massager going…

He would lay in his pet bed contraption for hours that his EI physical therapist put together.  It is a pet bed with a vibration/massage mat (that an adult would use on a chair), and then with the Temperpedic pillow inside the pet bed on the vibration mat…He truly loved this!!!!!  It helped to soothe him and to keep his congestion loose.

I, as well as many friends and family searched high and low for a bassinet that would vibrate, swing or move but this is all we found at the time. This is a bassinet that moved slightly back and forth. We were looking because I wanted to find something that could soothe Coby and because Coby could not tolerate being up at an incline, could not tolerate having his legs flexed and could not tolerate having a buckle (pressure) on his belly so the typical swing or vibrating chair did not work for him. They now have a ton of different ones on the market that I wish they did when we were looking.
