They say it takes a village to raise a child.  Fortunately, for us, we were blessed with the “pick of the crop” when it comes to villages.  I seriously don’t know how we would get through our days without the wonderful people that surround us.  We needed to be strong for Jimmy, therefore, we needed our family & friends to be strong for us.  We try not to visit Pity Park too often.  Everyone makes an effort not to be sad in front of Jimmy or us.  Our team, or should I say Jimmy’s team, stands strong.  We don’t discuss the cant’s and don’ts but celebrate the cans and do’s.  Our family not only supports but also participates in Jimmy’s care.  Our parents and siblings are a big part of Jimmy’s life.  They are always there for Jimmy and for us.  A day does not go by without someone paying Jimmy a visit.  They can never do enough for us.  Nothing is too much to ask.  Our extended family & friends have been the best.  They have not forgot about us, and believe me that would be the easier thing to do.  We are grateful for all the visits, errands, calls, meals, cards, and emails, thoughts and prayers.  Jimmy has a very large fan club.  Between nice neighbors, caring nurses, thoughtful acquaintances - Heck, Jimmy even receives prayers from people we barely know and some from people we never even met.   If we began to name names of all the wonderful people, we would need an additional website!   Thanks  – we love you!!   Everyone always asks if there is anything they can do.  If they are keeping Jimmy in their prayers – then they are already doing what we need the most.   Let’s keep those prayers coming….

Jimmy is loved and there is no greater gift one could ask for than for their child to feel loved.
