Wanda I just ran into your mother at Stater Bros. today and she told me about your daughter. I am very happy for you and Jim that God gave you such a wonderful gift from Heaven. I know that you will cherish all the days you will spend with her. I myself have never heard of this SMA. These little ones are so precious gift. I know that from the information I read about that there is no cure, but just remember that NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE WITH GOD. I know we all pray and He always answers it may not be just what we ask for, but only He can see the future. There was a poem that Kathy had, but I do not know if she still has it or not, but the sum of the poem was that God just loans these little ones to us and we do not know for how long, so we must make every moment a time of blessing. Wanda & Jim, The doctors are not all ways right about the amount of time you have with your child!! Samantha depends on you to make her life have as much quality as possible !! I have SMA 2 and my parents were told when I was 3 and 9 years old to take me home and make me comfortable because I would probably not make it to the next year!! I am now 50 years old!! Believe in the Lord and know deep in your heart that he knows what is best. There is a reason for all things. Above all, don't lose your faith. The mustard seed is a great example. I truly believe that any problems or catastrophes are the work of the Devil, not God. I believe in miracles and I will pray for little Samantha. She is a cutie and will be a blessing to both of you. I speak from experience. You see, I had an Aunt that had Meningitis (I'm not sure on the spelling) when she was six years old and was left with some brain damage. But, let me tell you, she gave us ten times more than we could have ever done for her and she lived to be 78 years old. She believed in the Easter Bunny and Santa Claus until the day she died. Her heart was so full of love for everyone. She was a gentle giant in an unkind world. Of course, we spent all her life protecting her and loving her right back. I thank God everyday that I was bless and priviledged to have her in my life. She lived with Shelley and Me for years. Count your blessings, every cloud has a silver lining. Be thankful for each day and love little Samantha. A friend.

Hi Samantha! We are so glad to see new pictures of you. You are turning into such a grown up girl, but I'm sure you hear that all the time (I know I do!). And that upside down on your daddy thing looks like fun!! I don't know if I can convince my daddy to try it (or my mommy to let him), but I'd sure like to! A lot of times when my mommy is moving me somewhere we count one, two, three and on three she throws me up in the air which I LOVE because I am a DAREDEVIL (mommy says I have to tell everyone that she is still supporting my head when she does this, so they don't think I am getting whiplash or anything)! Her name was Nicole Monet Pruitt, and I was blessed with her presence for 10 years. Hi! I saw your link at petfinder. I really like your site, and I hope all is well with Samantha. You know, there are many purebred and mixes of labradors at many shelters, including the shelter I volunteer at. Some places that have therapy dogs actually get many from shelters for their programs... because nothing is wrong with the dogs usually, most have potential. I became involved in the Cole's Quilts program and after finishing my first square, I decided to get my best friend involved.
