CommentsHey Katelyn. Daddy and I have some bad news. Pawpaw Wayne passed away this morning. They called Nana and told her to come to the hospital because he was having problems breathing and when she got there he had already passed away. I am so sorry baby to have to tell you this but he is in Heaven now with all the SMA Angels and is in a better place. We don't know funeral arrangements just yet. Have mommy to call us so we can talk to her. We love you and miss you. Remember PawPaw Wayne will always love you and you will always be his chunky money. CommentsHey Katerbug! How is my baby doing? I hope you are doing good!!! Do you remember Grace Coggins from the Virginia Beach last year? The one we gave your chiar to? Well she died yeterday 8-17-06 at about 9:30pm our time. It just breaks my heart when these little kids pass away and I always think of you when it happens because these kids get to be with their parents all the time and Daddy and I never get to see you. We don't know how you are doing, if you are okay, when you are sick, or in the hospital. I miss you so much and I just wish that I could hold you right now because every minute you are here we are blessed, but Daddy and I want to spend time with you and be able to see you as well. Mommy needs to contact someone so we can at least talk to you. She needs to grow up and be mature because whether she likes it or not we are your parents to and we love you just as much as she does and we deserve the right to see as well as she does. I actually got realy sad and worried about you because about a day before your birthday like 7 butterflies were flying in this one area of the camp ground and they stayed there until i left yesterday morning...the reason i was worried was because i had no way of knowing if you were ok or if you had gotten your wings...i told nana about that when i got home and she reminded me that it could have just been your angel friends there to celebrate with me.I hope you are doing fine i have no way of knowing. CommentsHappy Birthday my Punkin. I miss you so much. I can still remember the day 4 years ago when I took mommy to the hospital so that we could get you out of her tummy. We were all so excited we could hardly wait to see if you were a girl or a boy. I miss the days that you stayed with Nana while mommy worked. Papaw misses playing bonkie and all the other games that you and him played. I miss taking you to physical therapy and hearing you say it was Sissy's place anytime you saw the hospital. I miss you telling me about the balls on the electric wires at the hospital. I miss you going to K & W you to eat mashed 'tatoes and gravy and then you eating just gravy. I miss you staying the night with nana every Friday night. I miss taking you for the weekend to go to Salisbury to see Ganny Tomlin and Nanny and Papaw. I miss our trips to the SMA gatherings where we could all feel normal and you could play with all your SMA friends. Do you remember the trip to Greenville and Virginia Beach. I wish it was back like it was then but mommy will not let that be. Do you remember going to Myrtle Beach to be on TV and meeting Aunt Kay. You drove your new chair all over that Wal-Mart fast as you could. Nana has a new house made especially for you. When you get out of the van you don't have to go up a ramp as there are no steps you just drive straight in the door. All the doors are 3' wide so you can get thru them very easily. There is no carpet so your chair will drive better. We have a special shower that nana can put a shower chair in to bathe you. Best of all your room has a magic light. When you go in the room the light comes on and when you go out of the room the light goes off. I want to see you so much. My heart aches everytime I see or hear anything that reminds me of you. People ask me how you are all the time and it feels like a knife right thru my heart because the only answer I have is that when I last saw you in December you were doing good. I don't know why mommy will not let you come see me or even call me and let me talk to you. I know you miss nana and don't understand why you can't come here anymore. I don't understand either. Only mommy knows the why to that one. I hope and pray each day that it will not be long until I get to see you, hug you and put kisses all over you. Nana has a new dog her name is Mistee and you will love her. She like to give kisses all the time. Guess I better go check on Papaw he isn't doing so good these days. Sometimes nana has to push him in a chair like she used to push you. I hope you get to see papawa before he goes to heaven to play bonkie with all the SMA angels. I remember the day that I was the most proud of you was the day me, you, and Dayda were swimming in the pool and the water was low enough in the pool that you could touch the bottom with your feet and you had your float on and you moved your legs so that you could WALK on your tiptoes in the water. I was so happy and you were sooooooo excited because you could walk. It made me feel so good inside that you could say that you could walk and everybody could tell that it had made your day. Anthony says Happy Birthday too. He really wants to see his big sister. I know you will love him so much. Do you remeber when you were at Nana's and I was holding you and you felt him kick you? You screamed for Nana to come there right now and when she got there you said "Nana Anthony kicked me!" You were amazed that he kicked you. Baby I promised you that Anthony would be here before Valentine's Day and he was. I am so sorry that you haven't gotten to see him. I know that you want to but your mommy won't let you. Baby rememer that no matter what mommy says or tells you I love you so much and wish that I could see you and hold you again and talk to you on the phone. I wish I could hear you say "I want my Lisa to do it" because I was the one you always wanted to do something for you. I wish that I could take you shopping like I used to and buy you toys and clothes but Baby mommy won't let me. CommentsKatelyn Nana misses you so much. It has been so long since I have seen you. I have asked mommy to let you come over and she said I will call you but she never did. Then I told Josh on an IM that I wanted you to come over and he said he would have mommy call, but she never did. I don't know why she will not answer the phone when I call or call me back so you can come visit. Your new room will be done soon and you will be able to drive anywhere you want in Nana's new house. Hopefully mommy will let you start visisting every week again like you used to. Nana misses that so much. Nana cries often cause she doesn't get to see you anymore. People ask Nana how you are and I don't know. This too makes me cry, I know people care about you but it hurts so much when people keep reminding me that you are not a part of my life anymore. Tell mommy that you want to see Nana and maybe she will let you. I hope you get to come soon as maybe it will help Papaw, he is real sick now. CommentsMy dearest Katelyn You Are the Apple of my eye. I pray that you will stop fighting the bipap and things with your mommy. Your mommy is only trying to help you and it is very hard for her when you cry that way as she wants to always make you happy. It is really hard when you are young to be a mommy to a child but it is 10x as hard being a mommy to a special earthly angel like you. We don't like to do things that make our angels cry and sometimes we have a hard time knowing when you are trying to get your way (which I suspect you are) and when you are genuinely in need of something. I pray that they will be able to put a rush on your appointments as I see you losing your ability to eat daily. We have to help you in everyway possible. After all you are Nana's very special angel. I can see the weakness progressing in those pictures but hope that medical science and the Allmighty find a cure in your lifetime. I know that your mommy and daddy are new to this raising kids game (especially those like you that need extra special cares) but with the help of both grandmas, myself, and those in the support group, they should do well.
